Sunshine Theme Cake Smash Photoshoot

I have been so honored to capture Cassie’s first year of life, from newborn session to her sunshine theme cake smash photoshoot. She is such a sweet doll and the smiliest and happiest girl. Planning for her birthday session was so much fun. After speaking with her mom and taking in all her vision for the session, we came up with this adorable session theme. We captured the session at my Mount Olive NJ studio, beginning with a classic white window style backdrop complimenting her adorable pink constellation outfit. She had the brightest smile creating these gorgeous shots. We then changed her into an adorable gold sun designed romper, adding a gold crown for the final touch, just like a princess. Cass was so chill and loved every minute of her shoot. Look at those chunky cheeks and bright eyes!

The Sunshine Theme Session

For the sunshine theme session part, we took a couple of photos before the cake was put in front of her, she cheered. She crawled a few times to grab the balloons which was funny and made us sweat chasing her. She is so fast! Mom dressed her in an adorable white and bright yellow sunshine outfit to match the set, beautifully. Coordinating details with mom before the session was key to this perfect session.

Cake Smash Time

The beginning of the cake smash part is a slow process, most babies are shy about touching the cake. Cassi was the opposite, she dug in tasting the delicious sweet buttercream of her cake and did not stop there. Babies are so funny when they eat something they like, absolutely a joy to capture it all in her photographs. This sunshine theme cake smash session is now one of my favorites that I have designed. Fit perfectly for this little princess.
