FAQs
When is the best time to capture newborn pictures?
Newborn pictures are captured between 8-21 days of birth, scheduled around your due date as a tentative. Best time to reserve is when you’re in the second trimester to ensure availability.
Can I have my newborn baby photographed after 2 weeks old?
The answer is absolutely! We have photographed infants as old as 10 weeks, and they have slept through their session. We have had great success at creating timeless images of older newborns. Although, we don’t recommend waiting until your baby is that much older to schedule. Newborns older than 2 weeks are not as curly in some poses, but yet they are still very new to capture. If you’ve had your baby, and are looking through our website, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Do you offer props for session?
Yes! We have an extensive selection of props including, headbands, bonnets, accessories, backdrops, wooden furniture, buckets and outfits in all colors for your newborn & momma. All you have to do is bring baby and their food.
How long is a newborn session?
Newborn sessions typically last up to 3 hours. Allowing us enough time to pose baby safely, changing and feeding as well as cuddle time if needed. Your newborn session is the only session scheduled that day. My Studio provides all the necessity for your baby’s session.
Do you offer in-home photography?
A limited amount of clients are booked a month so that we can provide the best experience, including in home newborn sessions. Additional $$ for in home photography, ask us about availability.
